Clairvaux MacKillop College thrives on a deep-rooted community spirit, where unity, resilience, and determination define who we are. This unwavering commitment shines bright during the Kokoda Challenge, an event that tests physical endurance and mental strength while fostering teamwork and camaraderie. Year after year, our students, staff, and supporters come together to embrace the challenge, supporting one another, and embodying the values of perseverance, leadership, and teamwork.
It’s not just about finishing the course—it’s about the journey, the lessons learned, and the bonds formed along the way.
A massive congratulations to our incredible CMC Kokoda Challenge teams of 2023 and 2024! Our school’s strong community spirit was on full display as students and staff tackled the grueling 48km Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge—one of Australia’s toughest endurance events.
In 2023, after six months of dedicated training, our outstanding team of 35 participants conquered the course in 14 and a half hours, demonstrating endurance, sacrifice, camaraderie, and courage. Their hard work and determination also raised over $6500 for the Kokoda Youth Foundation!
In 2024, an incredible team of 40 students and staff powered through the challenge in just 14 hours, pushing their limits and raising an impressive $7500 for the foundation. Their resilience, teamwork, and true Kokoda Spirit define our CMC family, and we couldn’t be prouder!
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated support crew, whose unwavering commitment made these remarkable achievements possible!
