Kokoda Challenge

The Kokoda Challenge on the Gold Coast is hailed as one of Australia's toughest endurance events.  The College’s event is a gruelling, cross country, 4-person team event held over 48km. Participating in the Kokoda Challenge is not only a great personal achievement, but a way to honour the Kokoda legacy and support local teenagers to gain a brighter future for themselves and their families through The Kokoda Challenge Youth Program”.

In addition to the physical challenge of the trekking event itself, teams are required to take up the challenge of raising funds for the Kokoda Challenge Youth Program by seeking sponsorship and support. All funds raised go to the Kokoda Youth Programs, supporting young people in our own backyards. This year we aim to raise in excess of $2000 for this worthy cause.

Clairvaux MacKillop College enters a few teams in the Kokoda Challenge. They trained up to three times a week for six months in order to prepare for the event.
