UQ Thinking School

​As one of a select group of BCE schools partnering with the University of Queensland, Clairvaux MacKillop College is at the forefront of implementing the 'Teaching for Thinking' program—a bold, research-driven approach that empowers students to become critical, creative, and collaborative learners.


Through ‘Teaching for Thinking’, our students are developing the essential capabilities needed to excel in the 21st century: they’re learning to listen, reason, communicate, and empathise—skills that shape future-ready learners with the mindset and skills to thrive in a changing world beyond the College gates! ​

The UQ Thinking Schools Network (UQTSN) is a professional development network designed to create education leaders in 'Teaching for Thinking'. UQTSN draws on the deep professional experience and pedagogical leadership of the UQ Critical Thinking Project. Launched in 2017, the UQTSN now comprises more than 700 members from over 130 educational institutions across Australia, the USA, and Canada.​ To find out more visit:​
