The Opti-minds Creative and Sustainability Challenge 2024 at the University of Queensland was the largest science and technology competition this year, with 87% of Queensland schools participating.
Our Year 9 STEM team, last year’s State Champions, secured runners up in the fiercely contested Science and Technology Division 2. This marks an impressive two-year streak!
In our first entry into Division 3 for Years 10-12, our
team, primarily from Year 10 STEM classes, won the State Championships, triumphing over Cannon Hill Anglican School in the finals!
We recognize the invaluable role of our Science staff as both STEM teachers and mentors this year.
