Our extensive STEM program (offered as a subject in year 9 & 10), along with our co-curricular STEM activities​ and groups, integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into a dynamic learning experience that prepares students for the future. ​

Currently, 75% of jobs in the fastest-growing sectors require STEM expertise, and this demand will continue to rise. To stay competitive, the Australian workforce needs adaptable, forward-thinking individuals—our program enables students to develop the problem-solving, analytical, and creative skills required for success in a changing landscape.​

Designed in alignment with the Australian Curriculum, our STEM offerings encourage students to think critically, approach challenges with lateral thinking, and engage in hands-on, collaborative projects that solve real-world problems. Through independent and team-based learning, students gain practical experience and confidence to excel in STEM-related fields.

Clairvaux Mackillop College's STEM programs have achieved a truly exceptional milestone earning national recognition as an Excellence Awardee Finalist in 3 prestigious categories of the 2025 Australian Education Awards - Best STEM Program, Best Co-Curricular Program - STEM Space Program and Secondary School Teacher of the Year, STEM Co-ordinator, Dr. Maynard Erece.
