End of Term Assessment
Next Tuesday, 7th September Year 11 and 12 students commence exam block. For all other year levels, assessment is on a continual basis. Over recent weeks we have had a number of students removed from classes to complete late assignments at school. It is important that these students plan and organise their time better.
Â
Diaries should be completed fully, using both the homework area and the study/assignment column.
Passports are due for all Industry Placement students this Friday, 3rd September.
Â
The Passport is a passport to Work Experience. This is a form which is completed and signed by a student’s seven teachers confirming all assessment is complete for the term.
Â
Most students do understand the degree to which they are responsible for their academic outcomes and they can clearly pinpoint those distractions at school and home that work against their success. With seven computer rooms in the College and four areas in the library with computers, computer breakdowns and lack of ink is not an acceptable excuse for a late assignment. Students should always keep a hard copy of their work when completed. Most assessment pieces are given somewhere between four to six weeks to complete.
Â
While we understand that illness does occur at inopportune times, often we find that last minute problems are the result of bad planning. If you are ill, we ask that you obtain a medical certificate.
